The ACS Web Services SIG is heading into its spring session, continuing with a talk I'm giving on SSDL on the 7th September.
I haven't been able to get to many meetings this winter (yes - it's winter down here, not that you'd know it with Sydney being very warm at the moment), so this is the first meeting I've been to since Anna gave her talk on all things WS-*.
I'm going to talk a fair amount about MEST and how WSDL MEP's don't cut it for any realistic business process that Web Services might host. Then we'll delve into the details and show how each of the current SSDL framework plugins works and how SSDL can be used to support emerging techniques like Indigo's duplex contracts (which WSDL can't do), and show how SSDL's formal underpinnings can help verify that message contracts are free from deadlock etc using automated tools.
[As for the $10 fee for non ACS members? Yeah right...another smart move there I don't think]
