On the 28th May (1pm EDT) I'll be delivering a new version of my RESTful Web Services tutorial as part of the new InfoQ Virtual training events.
This tutorial is based on material first given at AIIT, and then refined and compressed for QCon, and GIDS. This time around the material has been refined again to fit in with the new live-over-the-Internet format that InfoQ are pioneering.
The tutorial follows in the footsteps of the book I'm writing with Savas and Ian, and will cover:
- Lo-fi Web integration with URI tunneling and POX messaging
- Using the Web for remote CRUD operations
- Hypermedia and RESTful services
- Security
- Atom and AtomPub
- Scalability and caching
